Must watch!
I binged season 1 and had to watch season 2 but found itâs only on crunchyroll. I bought the 2 seasons and sooo soooo glad I did!! This is almost as good as my fav visions of escaflowne ! It has everything a dram-rom needs and more ! ⦠I donât want to spill any spoilers but itâs worth a watch! I also bought the entire book series and preordered book 26! I binge read the entire series in 3 days and cannot wait for book 26!! Watch it!! Read it !!! And spread how good it is !! Cause I cannot wait for more seasons and books !!

Fantastic characters, delightful setting
The series is very sweet and romantic, as expected, and the fairy-tale-style world was rich and colorful. I fell in love with the setting right away. However, it’s the characters and their relationships with each other that really blew me away. I loved every single one of the main five: stoic Kiki, laid-back Mitsuhide, and sass-master Obi are a great entourage for a prince who won’t stay where he’s put, and the female lead Shirayuki seizes the story with both hands and is the main plot driver for most of the episodes, navigating the tricky waters of each episode with an uncommon combination of ladylike politeness, direct honesty, and a desire to solve her own problems with her own power. Watching the characters interact was my favorite thing about this series: I’m a sucker for strong friendships, and it’s easy to see how comfortable they all are with each other and how much they care about each other. This is one story I’m going to watch again and again.

Complete Series Bluray + Digital Copy
I searched through a lot of reviews and couldn’t seem to find a definitive answer about whether the “complete series” contained both seasons 1 & 2. So, for the record, the “Complete Series + Digital Copy” version contains all 24 episodes. The digital copy that comes with the purchase is a code for digital access to the episodes on Funimation’s streaming/digital platform. The packaging is pretty basic with just the 4 discs in a single case. The only odd thing I found about the menu was there was no option in the set-up for subtitles. if you select the Japanese audio the English subtitles seem to be automatically on. If you select the English audio then there’s no subtitles. This wasn’t really an issue for me but if you wanted English subtitles with English audio or Japanese audio without subtitles then it doesn’t seem like those options are available.Love this show. I stumbled across it by accident during a trial of Funimation’s streaming service and ended up marathoning it. A cute, feel good romance anime.

One of my favorite romance animes!
This is one of my favorite animes! It’s only available on a few streaming services so I decided to just purchase a hard copy. This set is a decent price in my opinion. This is the full show (2 seasons) on DVD. It also comes with a code inside for a digital copy from Funimation you can download. It is blu ray with great visual and sound quality. The case is nice and it has a thick paper sleeve the set case slides into. My only complaint is that the disks don’t stay well inside the case. They easily fall off the raised part that the disks click into. Overall though it a good romance series that I definitely recommend! Fast shipping!

Akagami no Shirayukihime (Snow White with the Red Hair)
I picked up this series on a whim. I saw an advert for it a few years ago and it looked interesting! However, it was hard to find locally, so after picking up the first town volumes of the manga, I decided to order the anime blu-ray online! And am I ever glad I did! I adore this series! It immediately became a top favourite for me! The characters are great, the story is engaging, and the art is breathtaking! This anime is a pure shojo that is full of feel-good vibes, romance, comedy, and adventure! Obi is hilariously sassy, Zen and Shirayuki falling for each other is so sweet, and Mitsuhide and Kiki are great supporters to Zen! I hope a third season will happen soon!

Wholesome mellow fluff
Pretty good and mellow. Sugary fluff. I wouldn’t mind a kid watching this. I think I read a review once mentioning that the main chars’ relationship was unusually HEALTHY, without any codependence, drama, cheating, lack of friends’ support… And that’s right. I kept waiting for something horrible to happen, or the heroine to lose her independence and tearfully cling to her man awaiting rescue, but it didn’t happen. It’s a nice, healthy, pure relationship with mutual respect between two young people: so rare in drama-driven fantasy anime it seemed odd to me. Most of the main characters are nice, and most that are not reform. It’s just a really dang wholesome tv show. Good kids.Content warnings: Mild language, some mild swashbuckling violence and peril.
