Impressive!
I pretty much only wear lipstick for costumes and other rare dress up occasions as I hate the feel and it smudging, fading, ending up on my teeth, etc. and I prefer a more natural look day to day.I bought this for a masquerade ball where I really needed a deep red lip to complete the look. You do need to give this stuff about 5-10 minutes to truly set, and once it does, itâs not going anywhere. You can eat and drink with zero fading or cracking. Itâs not super drying either and still leaves a wonderful matte finish. I was exhausted at the end of the party and fell asleep with my makeup on. My lips still looked flawless the next morning. Definitely a great purchase, especially at the price! Another great find from NYX!

So soft and velvety
I barely notice it on after applying it. The color is vivid, deep, and full. It feels pretty soft on the lips. It lasts a long time too as long as you avoid oil. I found it easy to apply, but for extra precision I’d use a lipstick brush.I got this for a Halloween costume but I’m pretty spooky and would definitely wear it out on an average day. I’m really tempted to pick up more colors!

Long lasting, amazing
Iâve been wearing this for about 5 hours now, drinking and eating, and itâs lasted me so well! I havenât had to touch up or anything. I have the nyx matte lipstick, and that makes my lips dry. Iâve not had that issue with this!! Iâm obsessed. Itâs a little sticky, but mostly dries with no issue. And the color is perfect: it dried a tad darker than i was expecting, but I LOVE it!

I have bought this and other colors of the same product for my wife and she states the color is good and lasts all day. the only drawback is that it dries up the lips a bit.

Good pigmented color, long lasting
I bought two colors, Strip’d Down and Strip & Tease. The thing to know is that these colors are highly pigmented and dry darker than they come out of the tube, and their descriptions aren’t very accurate so I wanted to add a review to provide more details. Strip’d Down is an awesome color (it’s definitely NOT coral or beige in my opinion), I would describe it as a mixture of mauve and terracotta. It’s almost identical in color to Maybelline’s a Touch of Spice lipstick, which is exactly what I wanted for daily wear. Strip & Tease is a bit strange looking, it’s a purple mauve color, but with orange undertones. I don’t think I will wear it very much because it doesn’t look that great on me. I’m not sure who it would suit, but if you’re a brunette like me with dark eyes and a light neutral skin tone, I’d suggest skipping it.After reading the comments about the faulty Sizzlin’, I decided to purchase a similar color from a different brand because I really wanted a dark bold red color. So some of you who are looking for that might be served well by checking out the color Wine Not by L’Oreal. I hope this helps some folks!

Two coats stay on better than one
The photos show only one coat before and after eating/drinking. Two coats stay on better than one, today I was shocked after lunch how well it had stayed on after eating oily pasta.The applicator has an interesting shape that makes it easy to put on, and it’s really smooth.The black color is very deep and there is no hue tint to it, it’s purely black. Which is nice!

Looks Pretty… for 2 Seconds
1. Shipping: I ordered this on March 8th and received it on March 12th with Prime shipping. It was shipped in a box with multiple orders. This is pretty quick, so that was nice.2. Packaging: The lone lipstick was rolling around like a roller derby girl all by itself in the box with a shipping label on it. I thought this was trashy. No bubble wrap? No little bit of packaging? Just a shipping label I still can’t manage to get completely off? Oh well.3. Appearance: It is the PERFECT shade of black- not dark purple, not blue, not grey. The lipstick itself feels moisturizing and light on my lips, which can be a weak point for most matte liquid lipsticks. It’s very opaque- the lipstick you see in my photos was applied with one coat. It blends out very easily for a softer look and will need to set for around 1 minute after applying (you can see in the swatch on my arm it still moves around for up to ~45 seconds). I love how this looks until…4. Longevity: I wear it. In the photos and video clip, I did not eat or drink. All I did was talk, and it started having visible wear off. Here is why the rating is so low. It’s a generous amount of lipstick but I don’t have time to stop and continually fix my lipstick because I looked at it wrong when lipsticks like my Rimmel Stay Matte don’t budge after eating hot wings and barbeque chips. Also, it takes forever to dry down, meaning that if you do ANYTHING- talk, think too loud, etc. when applying this lipstick it will smudge and stain your skin. It doesn’t rub off colour onto any surfaces though- my clothes, someone else, my furniture. When it’s dry, it’s dry and doesn’t transfer. It just… disappears. Where is it going? Who hexed my lipstick?5. Value: You can see from the size of it compared to my hand it’s a very generous size, bigger than all of my other liquid lipsticks. I paid $7.50, which is a very decent price, but I’d only buy it again if they reformulated it to not disappear off my lips and leave the unsightly remains of what was a gorgeous lipstick.Overall, due to the poor packaging and the way it crumbles off my lips only 10 minutes after application, I give it 3 stars. I expected better from Nyx and will have to look elsewhere for my dream matte black liquid lipstick. I might have to raid the Halloween section at Wal-Mart again.
