For millennia, the spiritual science known as Kabbalah has not only been skewed towards men and their issues, but women have literally been forbidden to study it — and in many cases, still are. Now, Karen Berg, co-director of The Kabbalah Centre, the largest international organization devoted to teaching and promoting Kabbalah wisdom, breaks this barrier. God Wears Lipstick contains the tools for women to dramatically increase their sense of fulfillment, passion, communication, and understanding of life. The author covers such subjects as what it means to be a woman, the meaning of life and love, transforming potential, attracting the perfect mate, and how to create a better sex life. The book is structured around Kabbalistic “tools” — the Sharing Tool, the Conflict Tool, the Effort Tool — which makes its ancient lessons intelligible and inspiring to modern readers.

ABOUT THE KABBALAH CENTRE

For centuries, the study of Kabbalah was available only to scholarly, married religious men over the age of forty, and forbidden to all others. This tradition of hidden knowledge existed until 1969, when Rav Phillip Berg first became Director of the Kabbalah Centre. Together, Rav Berg and his wife Karen sought to make the wisdom of Kabbalah accessible and understandable to everyone, regardless of race, gender, or religious belief.

The Kabbalah Centre is a non-profit organization that serves students and our surrounding community with a place to study both online and in person, and a way to apply the tools of Kabbalah through connections, events and volunteering. We collect and translate the sacred texts of the ancient Kabbalists in hopes of exposing these secrets to students of every language, religion or spiritual practice. Our mission is to share Kabbalah’s life-changing wisdom and tools with as many people in the world as possible.

We teach spirituality for the modern world. We believe that at the core of the world’s great religions and spiritual traditions are truths founded in the wisdom of Kabbalah. As the wisdom of Kabbalah predates religion, this is a study that can enhance any individual’s spiritual life and bring a new depth of understanding to all religions.

    Loved it
This is a wonderful book! Very much enjoyed it and very eye opening considering it provides some answers to questions I’ve longed for

  2. Rosa Colon

    Timeless message!
I’m new to Kabbalah and I have read another books but I really liked this one.It is a timeless message… I felt identified so many times during the book. It is written in a very friendly way without losing the essence of the spiritual meaning of our lives.

  3. The Travelor

Great read, but didn’t agree with everything…
This book had great insights to it, but I’m going to stick to my Bible.

  4. Patrice

    Nice!!
Ordered for my boyfriend to read just a another perspective of a female similar to me. Disagreed with some (same as me haha) but overall great!!!!

  5. Doris

    Must read for women!
If you want to understand yourself and life, you have to read this!

  6. Chris from the Cape

Well written easily understood and an easy read
My second book written by the Berg family. Well written easily understood and an easy read. Makes a complex concept simplistic.

  7. Kitsuniku

Not for the independent single female that is outside the box
The book is primarily geared towards females who are in a relationship and/or tend to stay in them. Little perspective as to not all dream the same dreams nor have the same general goals in life. The stigma of females needing to marry appears to also carry into this as well. There are tidbits of information that could be helpful and good to know. These are things that I have also come across in the Shambhala books on Cutting through Spiritual Materialist. There is also a lot of psychology and psychoanalysis that gets ignored throughout.Definitely not bad for a quick read, but not one that I could truly take to heart, nor would I readily recommend or purchase a physical copy of the book.

Recommended by a friend who swears by Kabbalah and this book. A real eye opener. You will see men and women differently when you are done here. Life changing. I am now studying Kabbalah. Move over Betty Friedan – this is the ultimate feminist bible. Feminist in the most positive sense of the word. In Berg’s world, being a feminist means being equally concerned for women and men and understanding your special role in the world as a female. Beautiful.

  12. Amanda G. Raygen

I have not been able to gel with this book, may be because I am on a different path in life and when I bought it I thought it would help, it does have some nice words of advice in there. Like with all self help books we take what we need and then move onto the next.

  13. Kaydee

Was simply written, which I appreciated and so, was able to complete very quickly. It has also inspired me to seek courses at the Kabbalah Centre, based in London.
